When I was a child, I used to send a letter which tells Santa Claus the thing I wanted.

I could'n t sleep on Cristmas Eve, because I was so excited.
もしくは
I was too excited to sleep the night before Christmas.

My mother said to me, "If you don't sleep, Santa won't come."

The next day I awoke and found the present beneath my pillow.
枕元にあるので探したより見つけたって感じかな〜と思って。

It made me happy because it was exactly what I wanted.
