whoが主格、whomが目的格です
I have a friend. She lives in Tokyo.
を１文にすると、
I have a friend who lives in Tokyo.
となります。
（whoは、sheの代わりとなっているので主語の代わりで主格といいます。）
This is the woman. I saw her yesterday.
を１文にすると、
This is the woman whom I saw yesterday.
となります。
（whomは、herの代わりとなっているので、目的語の代わりで目的格といいます。）
